Leah Powell is a second year Professional Writing student in Ottawa, Canada.
She has completed a blog at Spineonline, and continues to maintain an online comic book. She's written features, interviews, reviews and fiction for Spineonline, and writes fiction, poetry, and personal essays on the side. She is currently working on another comic series, and a novel. She's completed courses on Government and Business writing, and has completed full research projects. She's completed courses on substantive and copy editing, and was part of a team of reviews editors for Spineonline.
Leah has a passion for art, drawing, and print design. Besides doing all the art for her online comic, she's designed posters, ads, newsletters, brochures, and band merchandise. She's completed courses in life drawing and design.
Leah's interests vary to say the least, and she never goes anywhere without a notebook, sketchbook, camera and a few pens and pencils. She dreams of writing fiction for a young audience, and bringing the pictures in her head to life.
